The word (FMTECH) is an abbreviation of two words, the first (FM) is an acronym for ( Facility Management in English), and the second is (TECH) an acronym for the word (Technology). The two words (FMTECH) mean the employment of digital technology in the field of facilities management.

FMTECH seeks to provide innovative services of high quality that contribute to extending the life span of properties in an effective and inexpensive way that helps improve the quality of this sector by taking advantage of modern digital solutions and providing consultations related to facilities management to enhance the efficiency of services provided and develop the infrastructure for the future of this sector in the Kingdom.​

FMTECH targets 11th main sectors such as education, retail, entertainment, environmental, government, health, industrial, hospitality, residential, sports, and transportation.

The establishment of the company comes within the investment strategy pursued by the Public Investment Fund by contributing to achieving the Kingdom’s 2030 goals by searching for new investment opportunities that support building strategic economic partnerships in the long term to achieve sustainable returns, which contributes to maximizing the fund’s assets and diversifying sources of income as it seeks VMTIC aims to enhance the quality of life by achieving consistency and integration between people, places, and technology. It also achieves its presence in the local market to enhance job opportunities and increase their rates.​

FMTEC aims to provide the best advanced technologies in this field in effective and inexpensive ways through direct solutions and international standards by building a unified digital platform with communication solutions that combine data related to the built environment and the daily operations of the field work team in order to follow up and ensure the quality of operations outputs in addition to the use of robots and aircraft Unmanned aerial vehicles for some facilities management operations applications to replace human labor in order to raise the quality and increase the efficiency in providing those services, and among these applications is the use of unmanned aircraft for inspection work for the facades of high buildings, and roofs, in addition to security and monitoring work for the campus areas of the complexes, as well as the use of robots in operations Cleaning, reception and delivery services, in addition to the use of virtual reality applications VR and augmented reality AR in automated visual inspection operations, preparing reports on them and providing remote technical support to employees in the field, in addition to training applications for the work team.
